Do you agree with 'Five-a-day' ? I don't.
Why don't I agree with 'Five-a-day'? Because it's a daft way to get children (and adults) to eat fruit and vegetables.
Putting symbols on packs of broccoli or saying on orange juice 'this is part of your five a day' makes it sound like medicine. 'One little spoonful and you're there'.
I have much better ideas - they work. Even with the most picky eaters.

forget about the 'five-a-day'
The worst thing to do with children is to force them to eat ‘five-a-day’. It’s like taking medicine.
They’ll never enjoy vegetables or fruit if they’re presented as something you have to eat. Give them a choice, let them play with their food, get them cutting, mixing, mashing, then they’ll want to eat.
Don’t believe me? I’ve turned picky eaters...
