Almond Biscuits
You definitely need some of these with a cup of coffee or tea. You make a very simple cookie dough and press the flaked almonds in with a rolling pin. Then you bake them for about 10 minutes until they are crisp.Click on the picture and go to Today’s Recipe to find out how to do it. It’s also something great to do with children. So find a child who likes rolling, pressing and cutting out. Result: a fun half hour and a pile of delicious biscuits.

Next time you have some left over rolled out pastry, sprinkle over some sugar, fold it over twice, roll it again and cut it into narrow strips. Then twist the strips, sprinkle over a bit more sugar and bake in a hot oven for about 20 minutes.
